Oh my goodness...........I forgot to tell you all something!! We were able to find a new home for our cats Paris and Toonces. They went to a wonderful couple from our church. Although we miss them a lot Paige has been breathing. :-)

We have so much to update you on it isn't even funny!! Where should we start?
First: Paige started eating solid foods- she loves sweet potatoes!!
Second: Great Aunt Nancy and Great Uncle Rich got to see Paige. She had SO MUCH fun while they were here.
Third: Paige went to her first College World Series game with us and her Great Aunt and Uncle. She even made it onto the Jumbo Tron!
Fourth: Paige has a new sister in law. Jays dad and his wife had a baby girl and named her Keelie LaRee.
Fifth: Pagie rolled over!! She can go from her stomach to her back. She has been working really hard on going from her back to stomach but makes it to her side and starts laughing.
Sixth: Paige weights 14 pounds!!! Holly cow is right, she is a good eater. We had to take her to the doctor the other day for this cough that she has. Jay thinks she sounds like an old man that smokes, I think she sounds like a barking dog. It might be a cold so we are going to ride it out.
Seventh: We went to our friends cabin for Jackson's birthday party and Paige got to wear her bathing suit. The lake was to cold for her to swim in but she did have her first boat ride. It was so much fun!!

So in a nutshell a lot has happened and we have more summer fun coming our way. We also have a ton of pictures to post so I will get on that as soon as I can.

Miranda was feeding Paige and towards the end of the bottle Paige decided to take over and finish feeding herself so Miranda had her phone and took a little video of Paige holding her own bottle.  She is getting so big.  She is a happy baby and loves to smile and coo at us.

Paige rolled over.....Paige rolled over.....oh my goodness Paige rolled over!!! What an amazing day it has been. As you can see I am pretty excited. Paige has been rolling her hips to the side when she is on her back so we knew it was just a matter of time before she would get it. So I laid her on her stomach today and it took about 5 mins and she rolled to her back. After that she rolled back up on her side and gave me a great big smile. I think she knew I was excited. 
We have lots of pictures to post so I will do my best to get on that. 
In less then 2 weeks we will be having some visitors coming. Great Aunt Nancy and Great Uncle Rich will be here next week. Paige is so excited to meet them she can hardly sleep!!! I will take a ton of pictures and post them soon. We hope all is well your way.

Hello all,
   Yesterday was a big day for Paige and mommy. They went to cousin Nathan's state soccer game here in Omaha. The sun was shinning and it was a perfect day. Paige got to hang out with her cousin's Alexis and Madision and her Aunt Sylvia. Her cousin Austin and Uncle Robert were there too but they had to stay with the team. Mommy put sunblock on Paige but forgot her left cheek so needless to say got a little burnt. Sorry Paige. Mom felt really bad. Thats ok though mom didn't put any sunblock on herself and is walking around today looking like a lobster!! The sun must have worn them out because when they got home they took a long nap. We all have a very busy weekend ahead of us, Oma and Papa Row are flying in tomorrow and we are all headed to Kearney for Nathan's graduation. We will post pictures next week of our venture.

All is well in the Helmick house hold. We are adjusting to daycare and working. We have decided however that we need to find a new home for Toonces and Paris, our 2 cats. Jay and I don't have any time for them with Paige here and the cat hair is getting to much to handle because the cats are a little stressed from not getting any attention anymore. We want to find them a great home and they have to go together since they have never been apart. Jay and I have thought about this a lot and we think it is the right thing to do. Even though it is sad it has to happen. So if anyone knows of someone who would love 2 wonderful cats let us know. Hope everything is going well with everyone else.

Today was Paige's very first Husker baseball game. It was a great day! I dressed her in her white sox shirt and husker socks. She looked so cute. The weather was nice, a little windy but that's Nebraska for you. She was a good girl, made it to the 7th inning and fell asleep. She woke up at the end of the game. That's ok not only did the Huskers win but the white sox's pitcher pitched a perfect game!! I am sure it was because Paige had on her shirt that her Uncle Alex bought her. We also got to hang out with Pirro and his parents. As you see by the pictures below Paige is 2 months old now. We are trying to take her pictures every month with her Pink bear so we can all see how big she is getting. Jay bought that bear for me when we first started dating and now Paige has it. As you can see she is getting so big. She is 10 pounds 12 oz. Crazy how big they get.

Paige started daycare yesterday. Man what a hard day for me. Even though she is just down the hall it is very hard to let your baby go with strangers. I need to double my efforts to win the lottery so I can be a stay at home mom. :-)

A very big weekend

We had a very busy weekend. It started off with Paige having her 2 month shots. Jay and I were both there so it wasn't so bad for us that is. Paige really was a trooper. She now weights 10 pounds 12oz and is 22 1/4 inches long. She is a growing girl. When we got back from the doctors office our friends Bryce, April and their boys were here from Cincinnati, they flew in for the spring game. We had a busy night because Jay and I hosted game night. Our neighbors Dennis and Theresa came over and so did Joe and Jamie. We hung out, played games and ate ribs that Jay smoked all day. We didn't get to bed until 1 am so of course Miranda had to wake up Paige at 8am so we all could get ready to go to Lincoln. We all car pooled to Lincoln because Jay and friends were going to the Spring game. We meet for lunch in the old market in Lincoln. While we were having lunch the BIG STORM came rumbling through. It rained so hard the power went out for a bit in the restaurant. Miranda, Paige, Devis and Pirro headed back to Omaha right after lunch. We had just hit the road when Jay called saying they cancelled the Spring Game. We were expecting tornadoes so it was safer this way. We all made it back safe to the Helmick household. Alex was in Omaha for drill that weekend so he came over and Sara's track meet was cancelled half way through so she was able to get to our house before the second storm hit. Looks like another game night at the Helmick's!! Man was it fun. We all got up the next morning and went to church. Bryce, April and boys flew back after lunch and Devis, Sara and Pirro headed back to Lincoln after church. Jay and I relaxed the rest of the day until church group that night. What a crazy weekend but so worth it. We are happy to say that the tornadoes didn't hit Omaha. It was great seeing Bryce, April and their boys, Devis, Sara, Pirro, Alex, Chris, Julie and Kim. We also had a nice surprise visit from Kim and Blair. Thank you all for a wonderful weekend!!

Spring Dress

Since today was Mommy's first day at work we wanted to go have lunch with her.  Since it was a very spring like day I thought it would be nice to have Paige in a nice spring dress to look pretty for Mommy.  This is the outfit I decided to go with.  It seemed to go over well with everyone at Mommy's work.

Bath time!

We wanted to share one of Paige's favorite times and that is bath time!  She likes having her hair washed and sitting the in the warm water. 

Today we gave her a bath and got her all cleaned up.  We got her dressed and Mommy combed her hair into a mow-hawk it was really cute!  The only problem is with in an hour she had a major blow out and we had to clean her head to toe again as it was clear up her back.  Let's just say it was a two person job. 

Today was Mommy's first day back at work.  It was tough for her but she did very well.  I took Paige in to visit her and we had lunch. 

Happy Easter everyone!! God has risen. We had a wonderful family day. We went to church at 9 and Jay and I worked in the toddler room for the 10:45 church service. So yep that meant Paige stayed in the nursery without me. I only checked on her once and so did Jay. That was a tough hour for me. I don't know what I am going to do tomorrow, it's my first day back to work since she has been born. Jay is off all week and is looking forward to it. It will be great for him and Paige but I am going to be a basket case. Jay and Paige are going to come have lunch with me tomorrow so that might help. I hope everyone has a great Easter.

Paige went to her first Make A Wish party last night with us. One of the wishes that Jay and I are working on had her enhancement party last night at the Amazing Pizza Machine. Her name is Bryar and she just turned 4 and is going to Disney World in less the 2 weeks. We had sleeping beauty show up and play with the kids. Paige wore her Make A Wish bid since she doesn't have a MAW t-shirt that fits her yet. We are really hoping that she becomes a wish granted like Jay and I. We had a great time. We are hoping to take her to more MAW events.

Hello all!! I am Paige Ryan Helmick and I want to thank you for visiting this website that my mommy and daddy put together for us. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born on February 17th 2012 at 5:39pm. It was a very long day for my mommy and daddy but I finally came out with the doctors help. I weighted 6 pounds 15 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. My skin was a nice yellow color which meant I had to be wrapped in a "glowing" light blanket for a few days. I lost some weight and mommy was worried but it all came out ok when she gave me a bottle. I haven't stop growing since. I will be 7 weeks old tomorrow and mommy has to go back to work on Monday. She isn't real excited about that but that's ok because I get to spend the whole week with daddy because he is off. YAY!! He said we are going to go to the zoo and go for walks. We even get to go to mommy's work to have lunch with her. I have had a very busy 7 weeks. I have been to Kearney to see friends and family, then to Iowa City to visited my daddy's cousin's. If my first 7 weeks have been this much fun can you imagine what the rest of my life will be like? I can't wait. I hope you keep checking out this website and maybe even leave comment because I would love to hear from you.
